In 1979, one of today’s most successful and quality orientated production yards were established in Denmark. During the 1980’s, X-Yachts designed and built winning IOR yachts for World Class Racing. Their success with this market attracted the attention of the cruising market, which was then looking for fast, high quality and comfortable sailing yachts. It seemed very clear to them that they should use their boat building experience from the fast racers and combine this with building high performance cruising yachts. This yacht has stunning lines and looks good out of the water. The X-Yachts X-35 is not only designed to perform in close fleet racing, but also as a fast sailing yacht during summer cruises. She proves this time and time again, and gives her owner and crew much pleasure in all conditions. Her hull, keel and rudder configuration gives the helmsman a very light and direct feel of the yacht, and she responds immediately to minor corrections. The sail plan, with the powerful main sail and 106% max jib, has the ability to accelerate the X-35 out of tacks, and keep her in the fast lane upwind. The non-overlapping jib makes it easy for a shorthanded crew or family to sail the X-35, and an optional furling head stay converts the X-35 into a family friendly yacht. This boat has an impressive sail inventory.

Interior: The yachts wooden interior is made of mahogany in a hand polished satin finish. The head has a water-flushed pump toilet and white gel coat units with integrated sink with mixer tap. Engine compartment: Situated below the companionway with excellent access and sound insulation with special foam material. Saloon: On each side of the rectangular shaped, foldable table (110x100 cm) are two large sofas (190 cm long). The table also has a built-in locker. Navigation area: To starboard of the companionway, the navigation table is situated together with the top opening 100 litre cooling box. Navigation and communication equipment as well as the yachts switchboard are fitted in this area. Under the hinged navigation table (50x60 cm deep) and in the alongside locker, charts and navigation equipment can be stored. Galley: To port of the companionway is the galley with a rectangular sink with a tap integrated in laminated tabletops, and a s/s gimballed gas stove with 2 hobs and an oven. The gas bottle is stored in a separate self-draining locker. Shelves and lockers with plexi-glass sliding doors give sufficient storage space for food, plates, cutlery, pans, cups and glasses.

Forward cabin: The cabin has a hinged berth (200x170/65 wide) with easy access to the three compartments below. The modern design incorporates a double wardrobe with shelves and hangers (90x55 cm deep). Natural light from the skylight is employed to compliment the polished mahogany woodwork, achieving a warm and cosy atmosphere, also during daylight.

Aft berths: The aft sleeping berths are separated into two sections via a centre wooden longitudinal bulkhead. Two berths are 200 x 130 cm wide tapered towards the aft end
