Recently the vendor moved the boat from 1 marina to another (5 Hours cruise) and the port side engine heat alarm sounded a short way into the cruise.
Our vendor comments “The oil was clean before start-up and the engine only ran for 10 minutes before the (temperature) alarm went off. Shut engine down immediately. Coolant found in the sump oil. I suspect seal in engine water pump has gone. ”
The cruise was easily completed using the star board engine only.

Broker's Comments

Dutch steel cruiser for sale in France. Boatshed Bourgogne is pleased to offer this TSDY motor cruiser for sale in Burgundy. The interior of this 1970’s vessel really surprised me! Much lighter and brighter than many boats of that era and looking very well cared for by our vendor. Practical too, with a large heads-cum-shower room and a very unusual twin forward cabin arrangement that can be used as one large cabin or two bunk bed cabins. I think she’d make a comfortable affordable liveaboard or full season cruising vessel. The port engine is HS at the moment (she cruised to her present mooring on the starboard engine). May be an easy fix or worst-case scenario fit a reconditioned identical Peugeot engine. We have a quote for 6000€. In the meantime, she is a comfortable live aboard and still able to move under her own power.
