Broker's Comments
This Hunter Pilot 27 for sale with Boatshed Port Solent has got to be the only deck saloon cruiser available is this “bijoux” size! She is a quick sailer, she is well appointed, well looked after and will make a great family cruiser. She has all the benefits of a deck saloon – loads of headroom, inside steering position, great visibility from down below, and yet she is still only 27 feet LOA!
She is well equipped – Garmin plotter, AIS receiver, Navtex, tiller pilot - have a look at the spec. on the website for the full list.
The owner says “We bought the Pilot when our family was relatively young. She is a very safe and sea-kindly yacht with an amazing amount of accommodation for her size. She has the option of being wheel steered from below when sailing or motoring and we have used that a few times. The rig is simple with a self tacking jib and all the controls are led back to a single sheet winch in the cockpit – this makes her a very simple boat to sail.”
This is a great boat for a couple with little ones, well capable of doing a bit of distance, or she is just right for fettling about in the shallows, drying out to her own anchor – lovely!
Give me a bell and we’ll get along and see her!
