Broker's Comments
Built for Claudio Gardossi for the solo transat OSTAR. This one design performance yacht still has some life left in her a could provide much fun.
Owner comments:
Boat was designed for Ostar 2000; was the first boat designed following the weather study to a french routier, so was specifically developed to be very fast upwind in medium to strong winds and in light airs downwind; the boat proved to be very very fast, unfortunately autopilot breakages forced her to retire, while leading the class and racing in the middle of 50' group
When back in Italy the original heavy rotating mast was replaced with a much lighter and more traditional fixed carbon mast, and keel draft reduced by 25 cm
After some sailing in adriatic sea the boat was sold to Luca Zoccoli and despite limited budget, poor sails etc it finally participated and completed transat in 2010
