		<title>Tjalk Dutch Barge 15m REF#351147</title>
<description>Register with Boatshed to see 136 extra photos of this Tjalk Dutch Barge 15m .Boatshed Essex are pleased to be presenting this delightful Dutch Barge, with a stunning residential mooring, lying in Suffolk. An opportunity not to be missed.

This classic Dutch barge, was originally a sailing barge whose main cargo was potatoes from the fields around the canals and estuaries of Friesland, in the north-east of the Netherlands. She was converted to a houseboat in around 1975.

The owners purchased the barge in Holland and lovingly restored and updated the interior to create a comfortable houseboat in an idyllic location.

This lovely barge has a contemporary yet traditional feel, with a modern shower room with separate shower cubicle and electric toilet. A roomy fully equipped galley/kitchen area, which extends into the comfortable wheelhouse for relaxing and taking in the fabulous views. The master cabin has a standard double bed and the guest/second cabin has a double bed and a single bunk bed. The cabins are very comfortable.

There is a lovely outdoor cockpit area where you can sit and enjoy the views, and there is also a patio-style seating area on the ancient wooden barge that the barge is moored alongside.

The current owners have used this barge as an AirbnB, with great success, since bringing her to her current mooring. She is also equipped with a powerful diesel engine, for cruising the rivers. There is also free parking in a nearby car park, just 10 minutes walk away.

If you would like to arrange a viewing or have any questions please contact a member of the Boatshed Team and we would be pleased to help.

She has has the entire interior removed back to the steel and new wood battens, wiring, plumbing, double glazed windows and doors and new wood floors and wall linings all fitted. the galley of fitted as is the palatial heads and large shower compartment. The quality of the workmanship and installation appears to be very good. She has two sleeping cabin. Both doubles. One forward and the huge master cabin aft. The large saloon is all oak finished and has a solid fuel stove fitted and sofa and an amazing double glazed bespoke skylight over letting in tons of light. Blinds are fitted to blank this off of and when required. all the windows are double glazed units. The oak galley is spacious and well fitted quality work and the new looking cooker and sink finish this space. There is a a small cabin / pantry behind the galley with work top and fridge and this too is fully wood lined. The heads is very large and well fitted with toiler vanity basin and large shower all in while. following aft down the portside companionway steps lead up to the large wheelhouse. This can folds down section at a time in its current form but you may wish to have these panel all welded to form a permanent structure. finally aft is the huge rear master cabin which is all lined out and currently used as a store for the parts and equipment that come with he vessel to help finish her. parts include new anodes, hull paint, 10 kw wet type diesel heater unit and much more. The boat has no 12v system fitted at the moment but does have full 240v throughout. The Foden diesel engine I am told does run but ill need to be reconnected and controls fitted as she was registered as a house boat and the mother had to be disconnected . It all looks to be there so should just be a reconnection and commissioning job but you should see to have this formally looked at by a qualified engineer. This is a great opportunity to obtain a huge floating home as its and finish her off to your own standard. or recommission her and make her an amazing touring home. She has a current boat safety certificate to august 2027 and is out of the water at this time.
The owner has now moved to France so the boat is being sold as a finishing project at a very reasonable price for a vessel this size

		<title>Dunston Barge 59ft REF#350377</title>
<description>Register with Boatshed to see 66 extra photos of this Dunston Barge 59ft .We are pleased to list this fabulous classic Dunston barge from 1936. Once plying her trade up and down the Humber and Trent, she was finally decommissioned in 1979 and converted to a live-aboard.

She was then further converted to what you see today around 11 years ago.

She has very roomy living accommodation for 2+2 (the saloon converts to a double). Large, well-equipped galley, good-sized double bedroom and a fantastic full bath/shower room, with both a sea toilet and a composting unit.

Power is from not one, but three good classic engines; a Lister and two Glenifer auxiliaries for manoeuvring.

She would be a superb live-aboard (as she once was), and the mooring could be available (by separate negotiation with the landowner).

She does need a little work, due to not having had the tlc lately that her (sadly deceased) Owner once gave her - and is priced accordingly.

		<title>Houseboat Converted barge REF#350207</title>
<description>Register with Boatshed to see 55 extra photos of this Houseboat Converted barge .Rarely does a vessel come to market that so perfectly captures the romance of life on the water. This houseboat is a magnificent 67-foot steel barge dating from the 1920s — a working boat transformed, over nearly a decade of patient, passionate renovation, into one of the most beautifully considered floating homes we have had the pleasure of bringing to market.
The work has been carried out by the current owners — an interior designer and a skilled carpenter — and it shows in every detail. This is not a quick cosmetic refresh; it is a thoughtful, thorough reimagining of a historic hull, executed to a standard that many a shoreside property would struggle to match.
Step aboard and into a generous open-plan living and kitchen space that immediately sets the tone. The kitchen is Harvey Jones bespoke throughout, featuring quartz worktops, shaker and flat-fronted cabinetry, and premium appliances including a dishwasher. The living area is anchored by a cast-iron log burner — the ideal companion on a crisp riverside evening — while engineered oak flooring and electric heated ceilings ensure comfort is never compromised. Light, warmth, and a quiet sense of style pervade the whole space.
The master bedroom is a genuine retreat, with generous storage and a well-designed walk-in wardrobe area. The second bedroom offers flexibility to suit its new owners, whether as a guest room, nursery, or bespoke sleeping space. The luxury bathroom is a particular highlight, housing both a freestanding roll-top bath and a glass-walled shower — a combination that would not look out of place in a boutique hotel.
Practical needs are well served too: mains water and electricity are connected, BT broadband is installed, and a utility and storage room keeps life aboard neat and manageable.
Above it all, the sun deck is simply spectacular. Panoramic views sweep across the Hamble River — one of the South Coast&#039;s most loved waterways — and the deck provides ample space for al fresco dining, summer entertaining, or simply watching the tides and the sailing traffic drift by.
This houseboat lies in the picturesque village of Bursledon, a short distance from waterfront restaurants, independent shops, and miles of scenic walking. The residential mooring is transferable or for the adventurous buyer — relocation can be accommodated, subject to costs.
In short: this houseboaty is not just a home. She is a way of life. Viewing is not merely recommended — it is essential.

		<title>Brooke Marine steel passenger 18m REF#350113</title>
<description>Register with Boatshed to see 46 extra photos of this Brooke Marine steel passenger 18m .Here we have a very large 18M steel passenger trip boat that has been decommissioned from active service by her owner of the last 5 years. She is complete with all her seats and was a trip boat here on the norfolk broads. carrying about 90 passengers on sightseeing trips. She has a fully reconditioned Perkins 66hp diesel engine and gearbox, and a forward driving position. The engine resides in the forward hull with a prop shaft running the length of the boat, which leave her a huge long flat open space of around 15m with all windowed sides. Her bilges are spotless and she appears to be in very good order. If you are looking for a large houseboat , floating restaurant or coffee bar or similar or just have a use for her as a commercial trip boat as she was built, then this Brook marine steel vessel may well be for you. She has lots of potential for many repurposing uses and will be a rare bird whatever she ends up doing. She has large opening roof, rooftop storage platform frames, 600l fuel tank two companionways one midships and one aft. She will need batteries an engine wiring harness and a throttle control (morse control) fitting to run her but I am informed by the vendor that she runs fine. Currently afloat and viewable by appointment.

		<title>Narrowboat 70ft Cruiser Stern REF#347767</title>
<description>Register with Boatshed to see 39 extra photos of this Narrowboat 70ft Cruiser Stern. This more unusual 9&#039; 10&amp;quot; beam and extended foredeck, make this vessel an ideal liveaboard with extra space compared to a standard narrowboat. It has previously been wheelchair accessible, and it would be straightforward to reinstate this access.

The interior has been well appointed with modern improvements to bathroom in particular. Benefitting from two cabins, the second cabin could function as either a sleeping cabin, work space or simply as extra storage.

The galley features a range cooker, which also serves as the heating stove, fitted with a back-boiler connected to radiators distributed throughout the boat.

A gas boiler provides instant hot water on demand. The vessel is well equipped with a solar array, large battery bank and a portable generator.

The boat was last out of the water in 2024 for blacking and anodes. BSS expires 2029.

Please note that the headroom in this boat is average (1.82m) - not a problem for most people but if you are over 6ft, it might not be the boat for you!
