Broker's Comments
In Spring 2017, over £8000 was spent maintaining this vessel. The engine was completely reconditioned and the prop shaft & two bladed folding propeller were both renewed. The sails were repaired and laundered, the hull topsides were cleaned, polished and below the waterline the hull was scrubbed and re-anti-fouled. The spray hood and cockpit enclosure were also washed & repaired and she received 4 new fenders, a new horseshoe buoy and light.
Recently back from a sail to the Scillies, this yacht has made many single handed voyages to Scotland with the current owner. Fitted with a Voyager self steering wind vane and all lines leading aft to the cockpit, she is set up for easy single handed sailing.
The Sadler 34 is a legendary, fast, seaworthy, cruising yacht with easy handling and a rigid polyurethane foam between an inner and outer moulding, rendering the hulls virtually unsinkable. About 250 were built during a fourteen year production run. Highly sought after for their design, handling and construction, this particular example has been well maintained and is still sailed regularly by the current owner.
