Broker's Comments
In 1963 Kim Holman designed and had built (at Upham's in Brixham) the first Twister commissioned for himself and his brother Jack to race. That season she cleaned up and subsequently over 200 have been built since, originally all timber and more recently composite.
This particular one is also from Uphams and is one of the nicest I've seen. Her survey in 2013 concluded "if this boat is maintained to the standards she is now she will be around and as good in 50 years time." She has clearly been loved - lots of renovation works took place around 2012 and since she has been well looked after and had numerous upgrades including sails, engine rebuild, covers and instruments.
To me she just looks right - the cream decks set off the brightwork and the hull gleams. Even out of the water this is a pretty boat and she's ready to be sailed
