Broker's Comments

The Westerly Konsort is still one of the most sought after designs from the Westerly stable of the 1980's. Mostly bilge keeled, over 800 of these roomy and versatile yachts were sold before cheaper foreign imports narrowed the market place for Westerly Yachts. At over £50K in the early nineties they simply couldn't compete with the French and German offerings of the time although build quality was second to none.
This example which we offer for purchase is a slightly rare bird in that she is fin keeled and therefore has an enhanced sailing performance over her capable but marginally slower bilge keeled sisters. Her present owner has had to make the difficult decision to 'swallow the anchor' due to age and health issues and she will be coming ashore when her marina berth is vacated in August. A yard cradle is included in the sale and if she remains unsold she may be viewed in our brokerage yard at Neyland post haul out.
