Whilst we are gradually going into a worldwide lockdown, Boatshed Scotland is still very much open for business during the COVID-19 crisis. Marinas and boat yards may be closed until further notice but the team at Boatshed headquarters and individual Boatshed brokers around the world are still working to retain contact with boat owners and buyers as we all try our best to navigate these stormy waters during these unprecedented times.

As events and celebrations are cancelled around the world, so too is the highly anticipated Fife Regatta, celebrating the much admired William Fife Yachts designed in Fairlie, where Boatshed Scotland headquarters are based.

None of us know how long this will last or, indeed, if there will be many months left this year to celebrate Visit Scotland's Year of Coast and Waters 2020. One thing is certain though and that is, in light of the COVID-19 crisis, everyone's health and safety is the most important thing so, despite our love of all things on the water and our desire to take to the sea, we must all stay home and stay safe.

So what are WE doing here at Boatshed Scotland?

Working from home we, along with the entire Boatshed organisation, have been pooling all our resources (70 offices worldwide) in order to continue marketing the boats we have for sale, managing new boats coming on stream and responding to ongoing enquiries.

In addition, the Boatshed organisation has set up a specific task force (which includes Boatshed Scotland) to take on the challenges being thrown at us all.

Access to boats will vary according to their location, and we will be looking at each boat individually. There have been a number of video viewings within the organisation, observing the distancing guide lines. The safety of everyone is paramount and we will be adhering to all government and COVID-19 NHS health and safety guidelines.

Fortunately, because we take so many pictures, videos, and 360 VR photos with even more in reserve, we are able to show as much detail as possible and manage ongoing enquiries.

Web viewings have increased, largely due to people being at home and spending more time browsing the internet and, whilst several other initiatives are being explored, please rest assured that when things start to return to normal we will be ready and well-placed to hit the ground running!

Meanwhile, why not take a look HERE at some of the boats we currently have listed for sale and if you have any further questions on any thing you see of interest please CONTACT US HERE.

If you wish to sell your boat, now is as good a time as any to contact us as our systems are designed for remote working and selling boats at a distance.

Please stay safe everyone.
