World and European IMS Champion in Class C2, this is the Race model with the higher performance Sports rig, 3 sets of spreaders and a 2008 headsail. The Grand Soleil design philosophy has always been to build one-off race boats, race them hard on the European circuit to work out what modifications are needed and then make the necessary changes in their production boats. And it works! Their yachts have won IMS World Championships, IMS European Championships and IMS Italian Championships. They have also had several Copa del Rey wins and a Fastnet Race win – impressive showings in the most challenging and prominent regattas in Europe. And great test-beds for everything from sail plan study to the ideal dimensions of a keel and positioning of deck hardware!”
In 1973 the now world famous Cantiere del Pardo yard completed its first Grand Soleil 34 in the town of Forli in northern Italy, home to Ferretti and numerous other custom yacht builders and an area which has no shortage of skilled craftsmen. It has been there ever since, turning out race winning yachts. Often likened to Swan, the Grand Soleil brand is one with a record of innovation, great performance, comfort and striking looks.
