Commentaires du Broker
This Moody 44 really is one of those boats that immediately gives off the “much‑loved and constantly improved” vibe. You can feel the care the owner has put into her the moment you step aboard. She’s benefitted from an enormous amount of thoughtful upgrades - mechanical, electrical, structural, and cosmetic - making her a far more refined and reliable cruiser than most of her sisters on the market.
The engine alone tells a story: fully removed, stripped, refurbished, re‑sealed, re‑mounted, and re‑installed with new soundproofing and lighting in the engine bay. It’s the kind of job owners talk about doing but rarely follow through on. Add the new fuel tank, potable water tanks, coppercoat, rebuilt steering system, bow thruster service, and a beautifully freshened interior, and you’re looking at a boat that has had the big jobs done - properly.
On deck, she feels ready for serious cruising. The Crusader sails (2019) are crisp and confidence‑inspiring, most running rigging has been renewed, the enclosure and bimini are recent, and all the winches and the windlass have been serviced or replaced. The Rocna anchor with a good length of chain just rounds off the “cruising‑ready” feel.
Below decks, she’s warm, tidy, and genuinely comfortable. New upholstery, LED lighting throughout, upgraded heating systems, revarnished floors, and fresh windows give her a clean, modern feel without losing the Moody charm. Systems throughout have been modernised - solar, Victron monitoring, Mastervolt inverters, new calorifier - so living aboard or long-distance passage-making is made easy.
All in, this is a Moody 44 that stands out for all the right reasons. She’s not just been maintained - she’s been invested in, sensibly and consistently. If you’re after a well‑sorted, much‑improved, blue‑water‑capable cruiser that’s genuinely ready to step aboard and go, this one absolutely ticks the boxes.
