Broker's Comments
A sightseeing canal barge, last used as a nursery, that has sunk (now afloat) and requires complete refurbishment which presents both challenges and opportunities.
While the sinking may have caused significant damage, it can also serve as a blank canvas for a creative and ambitious restoration project. Moreover, converting it into a liveaboard vessel can be a rewarding endeavour.
Scottish canals are now offering her for sale, on the basis that the barge must be removed from the canal, the buyer being responsible for organising the craning. The craning site is very close to where the barge is.
Representing an opportunity as a restoration project on or off the water.
Offers are invited and should include details for the removal of the barge from the canal, with time scales. Consideration will be given to an early removal. Keeping the barge on the canals for restoration is not an option.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
